The ‘ZZ’ plant is indigenous to Zanzibar, an island off the east coast of Africa. It is also called ‘Zanzibar Gem’. Zamioculcas zamiifolia ‘ravens’ survive the harsh climate very well, it loves drought and then a large amount of water. The leaves grow on thick, fleshy stems that are about 60 cm long. They have a black colour and shine when the light falls on them.
