Syngonium plants are native to the tropics of Central and South America, however many cultivars have been bred like Syngonium podophyllum ‘Roxanne’. Officially Syngonium podophyllum ‘Roxanne’ is a cultivar from Syngonium podophyllum Schott. The leaves of Syngonium podophyllum ‘Roxanne’ are mix of light green with bright pink around its veins. The sides of the stems also have a pink glow on them. The intensity of the pink glow around its veins is determined by the light exposure of the plant. Due to the shape of their leaves Syngonium plants are nicknamed as arrowhead or goosefoot plant. Syngonium podophyllum ‘Roxanne’ is a real climber that will appreciate some kind of support like a moss pole. Araflora advises to keep Syngonium podophyllum ‘Roxanne’ at a spot unreachable for little children and pets, because the plant is toxic when ingested.
