Philodendron elegans is native to the tropics of Brazil and Columbia. This rare philodendron is due to the strong lobbing of its leaves also known as the Skeleton Key Philodendron or the Finger-leaf philodendron. Officially Philodendron elegans is part of the Polytomium section of the Philodendron genus. Philodendron elegans is a slow growing Philodendron but overtime it can still become rather large in size. A nice feature of Philodendrons is that they purify the air surrounding them. Philodendron elegans is a climber so it will like some kind of support to grow on. Since Philodendron elegans is toxic when ingested, Araflora advises to keep it a safe place out of reach from little children and pets.
