Pleurothallis sonderiana grows in the inland of Brazil. The orchid has yellow flowers with large petals instead of a large lip. Two of these flower petals enclose the rest of the flower and are shaped like wings. These flowers grow from flower stalks which protrude slightly above thick elongated leaves.
