Masdevallia bolivarensis is a plant species from the orchid family. This small to miniature orchid produces slender, flattened ovoid pseudobulbs reaching around 3 cm in height. From each pseudobulb, a narrow, lanceolate but sturdy leaf is formed. This species flowers from early spring until the beginning of summer. The plant produces multiple, very short inflorescences, carrying a single flower. The bright white flowers grow up to a length around 4 cm and have a remarkable appearance. The outer tepals are fiercely oriented horizontally. The inner side of the flower, including the labellum, is pale yellow. Propagating this orchid is easiest by dividing mature individuals. Make sure that every division contains at least three mature pseudobulbs.
