Lemboglossum rosii has its natural habitat in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatamala and Honduras in humid forests at altitudes from 2.000 to 3.000 meters. The flowers of the plant are quite striking and can reach up to 8 centimetre in size. They grow from flower stems of around 15 centimetre in clusters of four. They are white with a brown spotted pattern. This pattern is completely spread on three petals and partly on two. The lip is quite fragile and crumpled with a bright white colour. The column (part holding the pollen) can be purple in some cases. The leaves of Lemboglossum rosii grow from bulbs and have an oval shape.
