This orchid is found in southern China, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar. The leaves of Bulbophyllum eberhardtii grow from thickened bulbs that protrude just above the ground. The leaves are lanceolate and have a deep green color. The flower stems are about 20 cm long and produce circular flower heads with more than ten flowers each. The flowers have a relatively large lip. They are covered in a polka dot pattern that can range in color from purple to pink with white or vanilla.
