Anthurium veitchii, commonly known as the king Anthurium, produces a climbing rhizome containing aerial roots. Ribbed, elongated heart-shaped leaves emerge from the end of this rhizome and could reach two meters in length when mature, but often stay shorter when grown indoors. It infrequently produces typical inflorescences similar to other members of the aroid family. While this plant is most often propagated by cuttings, sowing is also possible.
