Anthurium plowmanii’ is native to large parts of South America, including North Brazil, Paraguay and Peru. Here it grows in the rainforests, often high up in the trees; it tolerates more drought and sunlight than most Anthuriums. If you look at the plant from above, it works like a kind of funnel that collects nutrients such as water and leaves, these slide through the leaves to the core of the plant, where the roots are located. This plant also thrives in the Highlands where there is a drought season and is often the only plant that still has green leaves on it.
